Amber Lakes - A New Venue Near Windsor

From initially seeing this venue on their website, I feel in love...a simple, yet luxury lodge overlooking a lake...what more could you want?

Amber Lakes brings the luxury and comfort of a Scandinavian Lodge to the heart of Wraysbury fishing lakes, creating an unbeatable setting for entertaining. This exclusive Windsor venue is comprised of Amber Lodge, Pier and Jetty.

Set within 450 acres of stunning grounds and a 120-acre lake, Amber Lakes makes a magnificent setting for prestigious events.

The Height of Luxury at Amber Lakes

The heart of Amber Lakes is its luxurious cedar, oak and glass Scandinavian Lodge. Breathtaking views are framed by expansive windows, making them the star of the show.

A double-height ceiling gives Windsor venue Amber Lodge an airy, spacious feel. Oak parquet flooring and a marble-topped bar complete the look. Views of nature, trees and gardens as far as the eye can see give this space a sense of total exclusivity and privacy.

Amber Lodge offers expansive open plan space, perfectly suited to hosting prestigious events, as well as large drinks receptions. The Lodge can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Birthday, Celebration or a Wedding Reception

Working with Co-ordination Catering Hire, Acclaim Food and Katherine Bly Flowers, I had the pleasure of styling the lodge to seat 160 guests. The brief was an understated luxury dinner party. I used the dark navy table linens teamed with dove grey linen napkins to create the rich, opulent look against the gentle candles scattered across the table top. The smoky grey glasses complimented the overall tablescape against the tall, showcase flower displays. I really wanted to incorporate structure with the willow in the arrangements which work so well for floral displays that are not crying our ‘weddings’. Katherine Bly created this so well.

  

As with many parties and celebrations I work on, I always love to ensure there is show stopping display on the bar area as ultimately this is where most, if not all the guests will head to throughout the event!

Despite the snow storms we encountered on the day, the warmth and light that the lodge captures is simply amazing. Whilst windows frame the walls, the space still has a cosy feel but keeps its modern, elegant charm.

 The Outside Space at Amber Lakes

Amber Lakes benefits from stunning outside space. The venue’s 450-acre grounds make it hard to beat when searching for a country venue within easy reach of London.

The venue’s extensive terraces, lawns and gardens are particularly impressive during the summer months, when Amber Lakes can be hired for both corporate and private summer events. All events come with our very own Amber Lakes Boat and captain, allowing guests to explore the venue on water, with the ability to go fishing (I am not going to lie, but this element of the hire of the venue sold it to me!)

Guests can make use of the entirety of Amber Lakes’ vast site. Outside space can be used to host activities, games and outdoor receptions in the summer months. The grounds can hold marquees and other temporary structures, with the potential to increase the venue’s overall capacity to 500, if required.

Amber Jetty & Amber Pier

A sprawling slate terrace surrounds the lodge of Amber Lakes, linking the venue to Amber Pier, the perfect vantage point from which to soak up the site’s serene, calming atmosphere.

And can you imagine hosting your event where James Bond was filmed?! Amber Lakes even appeared in James Bond classic A View to Kill. Look out for the scene where Roger Moore’s Rolls Royce Silver is pushed into the lake to catch our big moment on the silver screen.

Earlier this week we had the pleasure of attending the Festival Showcase hosted by Amber Lakes with some yet again amazing suppliers that brought it all together including Stunning Tents, Jimmy Garcia Catering, Gable Events, Lux Technical, Folly Hire, Megabooth and Just Talent. I must say, what a spectacular event and the food, drink and general hospitality was amazing so thank you to Helen and the team at Amber Lakes for having me!
