Rural Sussex Wedding Mixed with a Caribbean Vibe
Rural Sussex Wedding Mixed with a Caribbean Vibe
What a way to finish my 2018 wedding season with a beautifully, laid back and fun vibe at the wedding of Asher and Simon at Chapel Barn, West Sussex.Asher and Simon first approached me just over a year before the wedding date, they had booked the venue and registrar but that was about it! They were very clear on their visions and what they wanted and the brief was all around keeping it very rural, rustic but add some quality elegance throughout with a hint of Caribbean.
Wedding Planning in Sussex
I met with Asher and Simon a number of times throughout the year to look at the different suppliers that best suited their day, in-depth chats about the theme, the quality of the food but still wanting to keep the laid back feel to the day and more importantly, how we would implement the Caribbean vibes without overpowering the day itself.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Chapel Barn, Sussex
Asher started the day in the farmhouse on site, a charming cottage perfect for the bridal party’s preparation. The barn was styled by the team at Not Your Average I Do with white elegant drapes, lighting and foliage creations. The gorgeous floral displays from Kate of Katherine Bly Flower Designs were displayed around the barn in keeping with the rustic but elegant theme. I just love this image captured by Lauren Henson Photography of Asher’s bouquet – just stunning!
Rural Sussex Wedding with a Caribbean Vibe
The Little Wooden Bar created the perfect cocktail punches to welcome the guests for the drinks reception and what better way to have a steel band playing and interacting with your guests. The Carribe Steel Band were simply amazing and so much fun.We then had an amazing spread from the team at Garlic Wood Farm who made some very tasty platters with hints of Caribbean flavours and the cake – well who would have thought of a pavlova cake with lots of bright coloured fruit? This was actually inspired from a styled shoot I worked on a couple of years back as Asher and Simon loved the vibrant colours.
Relaxed Wedding with Fabulous Food, Drink and People!
The guests danced the night away with The Highliners from Uptown Music with a little pop, rock, soul and funk!It was a real pleasure working with Asher and Simon with my partial planning services. As with all events, I just love the passion and love that is involved in weddings and parties.A big thanks also to Lauren Henson Photography for being so awesome on the day and capturing these great images. If you’d like to chat further then please do get in contact. I will supply the coffee and cake if you’re lucky!
