Autumn Wedding Planning - Creating the Perfect Style
How to Create a Perfect Autumn Wedding
I love autumn and the colours and vibe it brings. The choice of flowers are overwhelming but it is a great excuse to step outside the box and move away from the pastel shades that we so often see in Spring and Summer weddings.Last Autumn I had the pleasure of creating a fabulous autumnal set up at the stunning Balcombe Place in West Sussex. This venue is simply perfect if you're looking for an exclusive wedding venue with so much space, character and charm.
Wedding Styling Using Deep Tones and Creating Depth
You will see that Balcombe Place has an absolutely stunning marble fireplace in The Drawing Room so to compliment this, we used gorgeous marble effect place names and menu cards from Eagle Eyed Bride. Adding depth and a contrast of materials from marble, copper, dark navy linens with pops of bright orange and warm autumnal flowers adds real interest to the tablescape.
Using Different Coloured Linen
So many venues and caterers offer standard white linen and I always try to encourage use of a colour. It can really change the whole look and feel of the space. On this tablescape I have opted for a dark navy linen with an accent of dove grey for the napkins and also used the same combination of dove grey linen tablecloth with the dark navy napkin. It really warms up the look and feel of the room and mix it with mixed height candles and you are creating a stunning space that will really wow your guests. I just love how the foliage almost creates a wild effect on this stunning bouquet created by Tigers to LiliesThe theme of the flowers have been complimented throughout the table displays including the small creations of berries and foliage for the place settings.
Create that amazing bridal bouquet
If you really want to make a statement then go big for your bridal bouquet and allow your florist to be creative.I love big displays also and the pampas grasses that are also in the gardens of Balcombe Place were used on a large urn display next to the marble fireplace. These are great to re-purpose throughout the day as well, especially if you are using different rooms or spaces within the venue.
